Compulsary Post! - Parineeta

Hmmm... I'm waiting for one larrrrrge file to download.. Apparently some hugely funny guy.. Russel Peters.. canadian-born Indian or something.. anyways, i'll let you know once i get to see it.

So, here I am.. trying to think of something to post.. Haannn.. 'Parineeta'.. I caught this movie last saturday night. It is a very nice movie. I say 'a must watch'. Actually, I never expected it to be so good. I was wary of Saif Ali Khan in a serious role.. I was scared to death with the thought- 'what if Saif tries to cry in the movie'.. Thank God, he doesnt. And the movie wasnt so serious afterall.

Saif plays something that comes quite naturally to him.. the carefree, irresponsible egoistic young man who cant express himself and silently revolts within. Well, thats what I think of him.. some of you might ask me to watch the movie again.. but then.. I will not!

Vidya has given a splendid performance. She looks a natural before the camera and I'm amazed at how well she has done those intimate scenes ;)

Bhasky,

Saif probably has put in his best on screen performance yet in this movie. I guess the break provided by DIL CHAHTA HAI has done him a world of good. But then I felt the movie reminded one of DEVDAS too much.

I asked our resident Bengali, ARVIND RAJU about this and he brought the fact that both novels were written by SARAT CHANDRA and that he was a specialist in "neighborly love" kind of love stories.

Cheers...........Jam
