Just heard the news that one of my friends is getting married... On Mar 20th at Jam Nagar. Now where in the heaven is that? (marriages are made in heaven, you see...)
He is quite a cool and funny guy. I got to know him during our 4 years at a godforsaken jail.. ! The first year was the best. It was quite an experience together... eating 'rubber' parathas... running on the connector away from the warden and the senior inmates after giving gaalis to them from the roof top on a moonless night... bunking marchpast practices... watching any and every movie shown at the audi... yearning for the one or two birds around...
We met again at Hyderabad, about 5 years back, when I was there for a day.. courtesy Microsoft... And then he went to the US. It seems he met the girl of his dreams there at Goldman Sachs. And he stayed.
We met again when I took a stopover in New York. And he was going strong with the girl-O-H-D. I havent seen her yet but it seems they make a cute pair. She is a gujju and hence, Jam nagar....
Now I need to find out the Jam and if there is an airport and a flight to that place... Do you have any ideas?

Jamnagar is located in the kutch region of Gujarat. You'll probably get a liknking flight from Ahmedabad.

Jamnagar is NOT in Kachha.. it is there towards the south west of Ahmedabad.. Jamnagar, Junagadh, Porbandar and Rajkot form the Kathiawar region of Saurashtra.. :)
Jamnagar does have an airport, but I'm not sure if it is used for commercial purposes.. better option would be to take a flight to Ahmedabad and then take a luxury bus or something to Jamnagar...

I did find that the airport is being used by air deccan & indian airlines.. one flight a day

wel jamnagar is just 300kms away from ahmedabad, u cam come by luxury bus...airdeccan and and indianairlines is also coming to jamnagar from ahmedabad and mumbai...
but i think 20 march is now not so far..its difficult to manage within 2-3 days.. but if u need help... mail me at nilvyas@hotmail.com
